The KSV 45/2 C is a portable industrial vacuum cleaner designed to pick up metal chippings and swarf (excluding large spirals) from milling machines, lathes etc. where most of the liquid (suds) has drained into a sump.
Vacuuming at source reduces the risk of injury caused by manual clean down and helps to protect the operator from irritation, rashes and dermatitis often common among people exposed to metalworking fluids.
The motor unit is protected from the ingress of metal by a liquid resistant filter assembly. This assembly is protected from metal chippings by a cyclonic separator which directs the majority of the metal chippings downwards into a swarf basket located in the canister.
When the perforated basket is lifted out for emptying, any liquid remains in the canister. The canister can be emptied by detaching from the caddy trolley and pouring into the sump or a coolant storage container.
