Vacuum cleaners for Hazardous Dust (sometimes referred to as Type H) are a specialty of Kerstar. The Type H range is purposely designed and built to meet the needs of users – helping them to safely and effectively pick up hazardous dusts and debris including asbestos, finely divided silica, carcinogens and highly active pharmaceutical products.

The range has capacities from 8-50 litres with all models incorporating Kerstar’s own multi-stage direct airflow motor which can be used in 1000w or 2000w combinations depending on the model.

Each model in the range is equipped with three stages of filtration on the negative pressure (suction) side of the motor. The first stage is a sealable disposable microfibre bag, the second is a high-efficiency filter assembly using a filter medium that is specially designed as a pre-filter material for HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters. The third stage is an oversized HEPA cartridge filter (H14 as standard) housed in a sturdy replaceable module. Every Type H vacuum cleaner is individually DOP tested on calibrated test equipment to achieve a filtration efficiency of greater than 99.995% up to 0.6 microns.

All Kerstar Type H vacuum cleaners are supplied with five disposable microfibre bags and a spare secondary high efficiency filter assembly.
