Supporting Aerospace & Defence Manufacturing
Processes within aerospace & defence, including CNC machining, composite trimming, 3D printing and advanced surface coatings, generate fine metallic dust, as well as liquid waste and swarf. These by-products must be controlled effectively to protect workers, maintain compliance with regulations such as DSEAR and COSHH, and support operational efficiency.

KAV 15H – ATEX Certified Air-Powered Vacuum
The KAV 15H is an ATEX-certified compressed air vacuum suitable for us in Gas Zone 1 and Dust Zones 21 & 22.
With no electrical components and a robust stainless-steel construction, the KAV range provides a flexible and low-maintenance solution for collecting hazardous and potentially explosive dusts in defence and aerospace facilities. Each unit is individually tested and supplied with certification for earth path continuity, ensuring confidence in safety-critical environments.
OIL 140 3MP – Oil, Coolant & Swarf Vacuum
Also on display will be the OIL 140 3MP, part of Kerstar’s specialist Oil Line range.
Designed for machining and engineering environments, this high-performance vacuum separates coolant from swarf, enabling recovered fluids to be reused while collecting solid waste. This supports cleaner production areas, reduced downtime and can contribute to cost savings through fluid recycling.
